One of the primary goals of Skybus is to teach those that are not involved with real world airline operations how real airlines actually operate. Therefore, Skybus Virtual Airlines adheres to real world airline operational policies and procedures where practical.
We are not a “sign up and fly” airline
All pilots are hired as First Officers on a single fleet type and must complete a comprehensive phased ground and flight training curriculum in accordance with the Skybus AQP (Advanced Qualification Program) before becoming fully qualified for line flying.
Because of this attention to detail we tend to appeal to those who are interested in developing a long term airline “career” vs. the casual user.
This is not meant to discourage those that are new to the hobby, as we are happy to mentor and teach.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at minimum 16 years of age
- A valid copy of MSFS
- A valid copy of the Fenix A320
- An unrestricted VATSIM PID
Preferred Requirements
- Have obtained the VATSIM vCPL or vATPL pilot ratings
- 250 hour on the VATSIM network
