Columbus, OH — September 15, 2025 — Skybus Virtual is proud to unveil its Winter 2025 network, the most ambitious expansion in the airline’s history. This season marks the beginning of a new era, with major U.S. gateways joining the Skybus map, a merger that reshapes the airline’s future, and a commitment to delivering more choice, more realism, and more opportunities for our pilots and passengers.

“This isn’t just a schedule change—it’s a transformation,” said Nate Power, Chief Operating Officer at Skybus. “Winter 2025 sets the stage for the largest growth in our history, balancing bold new destinations with a smarter, more connected network.”

Key Highlights of the Winter ‘25 Network

Major New Airports Join the Network

  • New airports like Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), and Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), among others, will debut this winter as Skybus acquires slots and route rights previously operated by SunWest. These strategic additions open the door to transcontinental and high-frequency, mid-continent operations.

SunWest Merger

  • Skybus Virtual is in the process of merging with SunWest Virtual Airlines, integrating their network and large amount of resources into our operation. Fleet allocation and route planning for SunWest aircraft are currently underway—expect both a fleet of Boeing aircraft, ranging from 737-700 to 737 MAX aircraft, and new route announcements in the near future. In the interim, the Winter 2025 network plan is planned as Airbus-only.

Palm Beach (PBI) Named a Focus City

  • PBI will join Columbus (CMH), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Oklahoma City (OKC) as part of our hub-and-focus city system.

  • Palm Beach launches with a handful of new routes, from short, multi-leg Florida flights to routes taking travelers into the Caribbean – strengthening Skybus’ Florida presence, and tapping into high-demand leisure travel for the season. PBI will also be connected into the Skybus network with flights to Columbus and Oklahoma City throughout the week, integrating seamlessly.

Seasonal & Strategic Balance

  • The Winter 2025 schedule blends short-haul leisure flying with newly opened long-haul opportunities, offering unmatched flexibility across the network.
